President Trump on Thursday met Ireland leader Enda Kenny, proclaimed he loved Ireland and shared an Irish proverb that he said he likes and has heard many times over the years.
"Always remember to forget the friends that have been untrue, but always remember the ones that stuck by you," he said.
But wait a second. Is this actually an Irish proverb?
Social media users and news reports have called it into question.
One pointed out that the supposed proverb sounds a lot like a poem by Albashir Adam Alhassan.
